Last week I went for a girl trip to Dubai with Adele and Carlotta. We applied for our US Visa and therefor we had to leave our passports at the embassy for a few days, so we were not able to fly and work. We never had so many days off together so we wanted to celebrate this! We left early in the morning (11 am is early for us) to quickly drop off our stuff at the hotel. Our first stop was at Zero Gravity, which is a beach club at JBR beach. We chilled by the pool and laid on the beach for a while and I got quite a tan.Read More
It is about time for an update, since I have not posted anything for a month. This month has not been very exciting, because I have not had many layovers. My flight to Jakarta was the worst flight I have ever done, but I do not think I will be aloud to write about this on my website. However, my layover in Frankfurt was amazing and I ate delicious currywurst at the Christmas market.Read More
Long time, no post! I wanted to write about my 56 hour stay in Sydney but I forgot my camera when I went on leave in the Netherlands for the past one and a half week. Since a post without pictures is a bit boring, I decided to wait until I got back to Abu Dhabi. I also got my new roster and I was really disappointed so I really wanted to set my mind of flying during my leave.
Good things first, I had an amazing time during my layover in Sydney. Even though, the flight is really long (14 hours), it feels shorter than an 8 or 9 hour flight because you have a rest in which you can sleep.Read More
My layover in Nairobi was a very short 22 hours and I have not been able to see much of it. It was already midday when we arrived in Nairobi after a short flight (4,5 hours). I walked around the city for a bit but after two hours I already went back to the hotel and had a drink there. I did go to a good viewing point of the city and took some pictures there. The next morning, I was planning to do a safari but the rest of the crew was not interested and going alone meant I would have to pay 160 US dollars for just 3 hours of safari.Read More
My layover in Hong Kong has been so awesome. We arrived in Hong Kong at 10 am after a long night flight of almost eight hours. My plan was to go out immediately but of course I overestimated myself again and I went to the hotel room to sleep for one hour. The layover was a little more than 30 hours and I decided to go to downtown on the first day, which took me 1,5 hours from the hotel. My first stop was Victoria’s peak, where I could see a stunning view of the Hong Kong skyline (see pictures).Read More
